At Tradingpost-Appliances we are
trying to make it easier to purchase LPG (bottled gas) appliances.
LPG is short for liquid petroleum gas, a type of fuel that allows gas
appliances to be used even when a natural gas supply is unavailable or
too expensive to install, particularly in rural areas.
This page is designed to help you choose LPG and LPG/Dual Fuel (usually gas top and electric oven) kitchen appliances.
Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) comes in two types and is
commonly sold as commercial butane and commercial propane. Calor Gas
(sold in blue cylinders)
and Calor Propane (sold in red cylinders) are the two most widely
available brand names
in the UK. LPG is produced as a by-product of refining petrol from crude
oil or it can be extracted directly
from gas or oil fields.
Please note that for
certain applications, i.e. marine or subterranean
installations, some appliances
listed may not be suitable.
